Sunset Kayaking Tours

Imagine gliding across a slice of water at dusk. The sun is setting and the sky seems to join the water.  There is that sliver of time before the sun goes down that photographers call the magic hour.  Colors seems deeper and the water sparkles.  We love paddling under the setting sun in summer!  Bring your camera!

Sunset kayak tours leave from the ROE office around 5pm. The departure time will vary throughout summer as sunset times change.   Your guide will have all of the gear and lead the way as we paddle for about two hours and watch the sunset.

Moonlight Kayaking Tours

Paddling by Moonlight offers a very distinct experience.  We only offer the moonlight paddle for several days around each full moon in the summer.  We paddle out at dusk and watch the moon begin to rise.  Sometimes it will already be high in the sky but begin to show its “bright” side as night overtakes us.  We paddle back on the silvery moonlit waters

Moonlight kayak tours leave from the ROE office at about 7pm.  The departure time will vary throughout summer as the moonrise times change.  Check our booking calendar for available dates.  The full moon dates change each month and we usually offer tour for about 6 nights to take advantage of the brightest moon.  Your guide will have all of the gear and will lead the way as we paddle into the night.
